1. English is the most commonly used language in the world. Throughout the world, when people with different languages come together they commonly use English to communicate.

2. English makes you more employable. These days employers want staff who not only do the job but enhance the company. English will do exactly that.

3. English is the language of choice in all professions. Despite there being many countries teaching professional subjects, in the end all the readings and documentation is based in English

4. English is not just for England. Over 30 other countries in the world use English either as their first language or second language. (If you live in Europe the new generation tend to be totally bilingual)

5. English is the language of Science. To excel in science you need to know English.

6. English schools are present in most cities in the World. There is a language centre near you, so that cannot be an excuse.

7. English is the most common language used in movies. If you love the cinema, you had better learn English, so are so many more great films to watch if you are fluent in English.

8. English improves family relationships. Not only will you be able to communicate with your children (who are already coming increasingly fluent due to the internet and other technological advances), but you will be able to show them that you are moving with the times too. They will be very proud of you.

9. English speakers in the US earn more money than non-English speakers. That just speaks for itself. Try it and see the dollar signs come in.
