My hot topic right now is the future, and I’m constantly thinking about how education has become more and more technology driven. I personally love it, but at the end of the day, the computer or mobile phone won’t do the learning for you, the whole scenario still needs a body.
So what role will we play in education in the future?
A lot of employers and institutions are still hesitant to accept an online course certificate as a credential on anything, but I am saying, (though of course you can create whatever certificate if you want – I know I can and make it look really impressive too), at the end of the day, you are the one at the job interview, you are the one speaking to the prospective employer or institution, it is you who will be the one taking part, … in body that is, and what comes with a body is usually a soul.
So let’s all just jump right in and accept it all but realise we have to appreciate the persons role in it all. We can learn nothing unless the person actually wants it.
So in that course that interview or that discussion, you and your body and your communication and commitment is the very thing that will get you anywhere, not the mobile phone or ipad.
