This one gets me every time. Even as a native speaker I am confused as to which to use, Has or Have.

The question usually goes like this:

Has Chelsea reached the FA Cup final?

Or

Have Chelsea reached the FA Cup final?

What’s your take on this one?

  1. haha love this one. I’ve always gone with “have” for teams and organisations. When you think of the team as a pronoun you wouldn’t say ” it has played well this season” it would be ” they have played well…” ⚽️ being a Spurs fan I personally may use something different 😉
