When people buy a t shirt though some people don’t care what the logo is on the front, most do consider the logo and first and foremost decide whether to buy the t shirt or not based on what that logo represents to them, as when they put that t shirt on they know that they will be forever promoting not just that company or message, but also be a walking talking representation of the deeper meaning of what that brand is all about.
Therefore, getting someone to wear the logo has a huge point to make in terms of the schools business. What many business owners don’t realise is that a logo does represent a hidden message. It isn’t just a statement but a deeper underlaying portrayal of what your brand is all about.
If we look at the big universities such as NYU or UCLA or Harvard, we are understanding that if someone wears that they are either currently a student with them or they are trying to appear that they have all the attributes of student who does go there. These attributes may mean – intelligent, high achiever, expensive, selected few, rich family, connected to high level people, a networker with movers and shakers, forwarding thinking, cutting edge of learning, innovators in certain areas….and so on.
There are many people who have been do these Universities and completely deny that these brand points are true, but whether they are really true or not is irrelevant, it is more to do with internationally what that brand and logo tells the world – what message it holds.
Some people want to wear that t shirt simply because of what it tells the world about them. They may want the world to think that they are intelligent, high achieving…and so on. This is the only reason why someone would wear a logo.
So when you are considering getting everyone in your school to wear a t shirt with your logo on it, be prepared for a backlash, the backlash may be simply because your brand is not clear enough or big enough to hold a presence in the market. When you do have this presence and it is very strong, your students will be willing to be the walking talking value you offer.
